Linda Solan ~ Photographer

...An award winning photographer whose experience spans the last 30 years. My photographs are personal souvenirs of moments in time as seen with an eye for light, shape and color. Photography specializing in b/w portraits, hand coloring of b/w photographs, sepia and tonal qualities.... and digital color prints consisting of landscapes, architecture, old barns and farms, antique bottles and windows. I have recently married and relocated to New York state where I am finally able to focus on my photography full time. I have spent the past year discovering Central New York’s beauty; photographing previously undocumented local treasures while trying to preserve the richness of local historical buildings. An exhibit of a series of my photographs of local historical Seneca Falls is scheduled the summer of 2002 at the Museum of Waterways in Seneca Falls, N.Y. My photographs of local Upstate New York scenes are on sale in many gift shops and bookstores in the local area and are on display at “The Drawing Room” in Yuma, Arizona. Take a moment and enjoy the personality of the structures through my creative and aesthetic process.

Over a 30 year period, I have always preferred to use a Nikon camera. I primarily use my Nikon 35 mm camera with various lenses, but lately I have been addicted to my new Nikon Cool Pix 950. I enjoy pushing the digital camera to its fullest, trying to create new and unusual effects.
